The Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Army has stated that the country has reached a high level of maturity in the field of unmanned vehicles, stressing that the armed forces are fully prepared for asymmetric warfare and have deployed sea mines to enforce maritime regulations.

Tehran - BORNA - Major General Amir Hatami made the remarks during a visit to an army combat drone production center, highlighting the current level of readiness and agility of the armed forces.

"We gained important experiences during the last two imposed wars, including the fact that this enemy should not be trusted even an iota, and we must strive to increase our readiness," he stated.

Referring to the role of unmanned weapons in modern conflicts, Hatami noted that drones, unmanned surface vessels (USVs), and micro air vehicles now have diverse missions and hold a special place in Iran's defense doctrine.

He elaborated on the Army's strategy for developing drones, particularly the Arash UAVs, stating that the process began in collaboration with the Defense Ministry. "Today, with strong infrastructure and by utilizing the capacities of elites, universities, and knowledge-based companies, this is being carried out as an industrial endeavor," he added.

An important portion of the Army's equipment, he noted, relies on these drones to ensure a powerful presence in asymmetric warfare.

"Today, we are highly active in the production, distribution, and maintenance of these weapons. Simultaneously, our combatants have received the necessary training and possess excellent skills. We can confidently say we have reached a good level of maturity in the field of drones and unmanned vehicles in general," the commander underscored.

Hatami pointed out that while a portion of Iran's military equipment is designed for symmetric warfare, a large portion is dedicated to asymmetric warfare.

"In the previous asymmetric war, we fought the enemy with equipment that took them by surprise, as they received heavy blows. We have evaluated the enemy and know they have significant capabilities, but considering all these factors, we have prepared ourselves for asymmetric warfare and its required equipment," he highlighted.

Assuring the Iranian nation of the armed forces' good condition and high morale, he said: "We know how the enemy will act, and we have prepared ourselves to respond from the very same areas they utilize."

Enemy only understands language of force

Touching upon future prospects and potential events, Hatami reiterated the armed forces' core mission of providing security and countering threats.

"Following the directives of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, we consider a one-percent threat as a 100-percent threat and prepare for it. Our current enemy is 100 percent untrustworthy and understands no language other than force and power. They perceive any compromise as a retreat and take a step forward," he stated.

Naval blockade considered act of war

The Army commander also highlighted the naval forces' effective presence in the east of the Strait of Hormuz and the Sea of Oman.

"We have a strong presence at sea and on the coast. The enemy has not dared to enter the Sea of Oman because they have clearly realized that a powerful force is in control there. We are monitoring the situation, and if an enemy vessel enters, it will definitely be targeted," Hatami warned, explicitly adding, "We consider the naval blockade as part of the war, and those enforcing the blockade are treated as the enemy."

Recalling the regulations announced by the Islamic Republic regarding transit through the Strait of Hormuz, the Persian Gulf, and the Sea of Oman, Hatami concluded: "Various equipment, including sea mines and automatic control systems, are being used to enforce these regulations. We constantly emphasize that different countries must understand the conditions imposed by the criminal Americans and maintain full coordination with Iran's armed forces to prevent any harm to themselves."
