Mecca Agreement

Pakistan has no objection to Iran and Egypt joining the joint defense agreement recently signed between Islamabad, Ankara, and Riyadh—known as the Mecca Pact—according to Pakistan's Ambassador to Moscow.

The trilateral defense agreement signed by Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey in Mecca is strictly defensive in nature and aimed at no nation, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister announced Sunday, adding that the framework remains open to other regional states.
