Funeral Ceremony Held for Commanders Martyred in ‘Ramadan War’
A funeral ceremony for several commanders and officials killed in the Ramadan War was held with a large and passionate turnout of people in Tehran.

Tehran - BORNA - The funeral procession for a number of commanders and officials martyred in the Ramadan War began at 13:30 (Local time) on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, with the widespread presence of different segments of the public at Enqelab Square in Tehran.

During the ceremony, the bodies of several senior officials were carried in the procession, including Seyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, martyred Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces; Mohammad Pakpour, martyred Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps; Ali Shamkhani, martyred Secretary of the country’s Supreme Defense Council of Iran; Aziz Nasirzadeh, martyred Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics; and Mohammad Shirazi, martyred head of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief.

The bodies of several other martyred commanders—including Darebaghi, Ali Tajik, Davoud Asgari, Hosseini Motlagh, Babaeian, Helali, and Rezaeian—as well as the bodies of a number of civilians killed during the Ramadan War, including families who lost several members in the attacks, were also carried in the procession alongside the commanders.

The convoy carrying the bodies of the martyrs is scheduled to move from Enqelab Square along Enghelab Street toward Hafez Street and Meraj al-Shohada.
