FIFA Praises Iranian Women's Futsal Team Ahead of Youth Olympics Semifinal

Tehran - BORNA -  Iran will face Venezuela on Sunday in the semifinals of the women's futsal tournament at the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal, seeking to secure a place in the final.

In a report published on its website, FIFA highlighted Iran's outstanding performance in the group stage, where the team recorded three victories in three matches to finish top of Group B.

FIFA also singled out Iran's No. 10, Narges Amirmohseni, whose impressive performances have played a key role in the team's successful campaign.

The Iranian players will be looking to maintain their winning momentum and advance to the final as they pursue the gold medal.

Venezuela, meanwhile, reached the semifinals after losing to Ukraine in extra time, securing a dramatic victory over host nation Senegal and registering a convincing win against Fiji.

Venezuelan star Nelmary Aguilar is expected to be one of the key players in the semifinal encounter against Iran.

In the other semifinal, Ukraine will take on Italy, with the winners of the two matches advancing to the final.
