Iran's Ambassador to Iraq Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadegh has said US President Donald Trump has lost the war against Iran on strategic, military and political fronts, dismissing his recent threats and statements as baseless.

Tehran - BORNA - Al-Sadegh made the remarks in an interview with Iraq's Al-Markaz Al-Khabari Al-Watani news outlet, responding to a question about Trump's threats and statements against the Islamic Republic.

“Trump is a person who lives in a world of illusions and contradictions,” the Iranian ambassador said.

Emphasizing that the US president had failed to achieve his objectives in the conflict, Al-Sadegh stated, “Trump has lost this battle against Iran strategically, militarily and politically. His statements are hollow and baseless, and victory will be ours.”

The Iranian diplomat also addressed the importance of empowering Iraqi youth on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony of Iraq's National Youth Platform, known as Al-Sudasiya Al-Shababiya.

Responding to a separate question, Al-Sadegh highlighted the significant potential of Iraq's younger generation and called for greater attention to their needs.

“Iraq is a young country, and it is essential for governments and non-governmental organizations to pay special attention to young people and provide them with the necessary services, educational opportunities and skills development,” he said.
