The recent merger of Iran's Armed Forces General Staff and the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters represents more than an organizational shift, it is part of a broader effort to align the command structure with the Islamic Republic's evolving defense doctrine and the changing nature of modern warfare — a process that began after the 12-day war.

Iran's Supreme Leader has appointed Major General Ali Abdollahi as chief of the Armed Forces General Staff, emphasizing the completion of the merger between the General Staff and the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters – a structural transformation aimed at integrating strategic planning and operational command.

A spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters warned Tuesday that any country or company receiving funds from Iranian frozen assets will be barred from passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

The top Iranian military body namely Central Headquarters of Khatam al-Anbia has said that the continuation of the US naval blockade would mean a broadened war on Iran.
