Former Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has asserted that while the Biden and Trump administrations’ "betrayal of diplomacy" provided Tehran with every justification to pursue nuclear weapons, Iran remains committed to its peaceful doctrine. However, he warned that Washington must replace its policy of "intimidation" with "respect" if it seeks any viable breakthrough.

Former Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, in a joint article published in a prominent American journal, emphasized that the U.S. must accept that Iran’s indigenous capabilities are indestructible. He detailed how Iran, relying on its high human, natural, and geostrategic capacities, can break the "securitization cycle" against itself and implement a nuclear agreement through precise diplomacy.
