Ghalibaf to Trump: Test Our Will Again and Receive an Even Greater Lesson
Upon his return from the high-stakes negotiations in Islamabad, Iran’s chief negotiator and Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, delivered a firm message to U.S. President Donald Trump, asserting that Tehran will meet force with force and logic with logic.

Tehran - BORNA - Speaking to reporters at the airport, Ghalibaf reflected on the 21-hour marathon session and the strategic standing of the Islamic Republic. "If you fight, we will fight; and if you approach with logic, we will respond with logic. We do not yield to any threats. Let them test our will once more to receive an even greater lesson," he declared.

National Unity as a Diplomatic Asset

The Speaker began by expressing his gratitude to the Iranian people for their overwhelming presence in the streets following the Leader’s message. "This presence greatly assisted our defense of the nation's rights. Its most significant impact was on the opposing side, providing them with a better understanding and recognition of our Revolution—an effect I personally witnessed during the talks," Ghalibaf noted. He emphasized that continued public support is essential to strengthen "Power Diplomacy."

A 77-Year Wall of Distrust

Addressing the core obstacle in the negotiations, Ghalibaf highlighted Washington's history of betrayal. "We stated from the beginning that we do not trust the Americans; our wall of distrust is 77 years high," he said, referencing decades of U.S. intervention.

He pointed out that even within the last year, the U.S. attacked Iran twice in the midst of ongoing negotiations. "Therefore, it is they who must earn our trust. Given their history of broken promises, earning our trust is a difficult and time-consuming task, but the decision rests with them. We saw little evidence of such readiness from their side in this round."

The ‘Minab 168’ Delegation: A Unified National Front

Ghalibaf praised the composition of the Iranian team, referred to as the "Minab 168" delegation, describing it as a truly national entity. "Despite differing political tastes, everyone was empathetic, serious, and creative in safeguarding the rights of the Iranian people. Our team designed excellent initiatives to demonstrate Iran's goodwill, which led to progress in the discussions."

He also commended Iranian media and analysts for neutralizing the enemy's psychological warfare and successfully broadcasting the voice of the Iranian nation to the world.

Trump’s Threats and the 'Exit Window'

In response to recent hostile stances taken by Donald Trump, the Speaker asserted that such threats have no impact on a nation that has endured 47 years of military, economic, and political pressure. "We have proven that we do not surrender to threats. The world has seen the desperation of the Iranian nation’s enemies."

Ghalibaf concluded by advising the U.S. administration on how to resolve the current crisis: "If the United States wants to find an 'exit window' for itself, the only way is to decide to earn the trust of the Iranian people. You are indebted to this nation and still have much to do to compensate for the past."
