Iran envoy to German FM: Peace is impossible with double standards
The Iranian Ambassador to Germany emphasized that achieving peace is impossible through the application of double standards.

Tehran - BORNA - Majid Nili, the Iranian Ambassador to Berlin, reacted to recent remarks by German officials, including the Foreign Minister, writing on the X social media platform: "Iran has repeatedly and explicitly stated that it does not consider nuclear weapons an appropriate tool for defense. If Germany is truly opposed to nuclear weapons, its standard 'must' be uniform, not selective: demanding the nuclear disarmament of the Israeli regime, and saying 'no' to war through the explicit condemnation of any military aggression against Iran and attacks on civilians, starting with the U.S. missile strikes on the Minab school."

He emphasized: "Peace is impossible with double standards."

According to the report, German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul had previously addressed Tehran, stating: "Iran must now reliably renounce any option to acquire nuclear weapons."

Referring to the Strait of Hormuz, Wadephul also called for the complete reopening of this maritime route, stressing that Iran "must" end the blockade.

Additionally, on Sunday, the German Chancellor stated in a separate message that Iran "must" enter into serious negotiations with the United States and keep the Strait of Hormuz open without any restrictions.
