Largest cancer treatment hospital in the Middle East inaugurated in Iran
Tehran - BORNA - The national project of the Cancer Institute Hospital was inaugurated and put into operation this morning with the presence of Mohammad Reza Zafarqandi, Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, and Aladdin Rafizadeh, head of the Administrative and Recruitment Organization of the country.
The Cancer Institute of Iran is the largest cancer treatment hospital in the Middle East, and has been constructed with the participation of benefactors. This medical center features 37 specialized departments, 11 imaging and radiotherapy devices, and 96 chemotherapy beds.
The hospital, with a floor area of 60,000 square meters, has been completed after five and a half years of round-the-clock efforts and is now being used as one of the country's most important medical centers in the field of cancer.
In this complex, 19 operating rooms, 6 endoscopy rooms, 103 ICU beds, and 460 inpatient beds have been designated. Additionally, sections including VIP, bone marrow transplant, clean rooms for chemotherapy, radiotherapy, imaging, and other support departments required for a hospital have been established in this center.
