Ghalibaf: Regional states seek new security arrangements despite Trump threats
Iran’s chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said Tehran has received multiple messages from neighboring countries about forming new regional security arrangements and expanding economic cooperation, despite US President Donald Trump’s threats against countries continuing trade and economic ties with Iran.
Tehran - BORNA - Ghalibaf made the remarks in an English-language post on X in response to Trump’s threats against countries that continue commercial and economic cooperation with Iran.
“We have received multiple messages from neighboring countries regarding the formation of new security arrangements and economic cooperation in the region,” Ghalibaf wrote.
He said the United States had jeopardized the security of each of its allies through what he described as bullying and complete disregard for their interests in favor of Israel, to the point that “for a moment, they saw their entire existence at risk.”
Ghalibaf stressed that “a truly indigenous and independent order will bring peace and security to the region.”
