Recent Conflict Transformed Iran's Defense Doctrine, Says Acting Defense Minister
Tehran - BORNA - Speaking during a visit to the Iran Aviation Industries Organization (IAIO) to inspect strategic projects and technological capacities, Ebn-ol-Reza noted that the experience of the recent war proved Iran's capacity to rebuild and upgrade its defense capabilities relies primarily on human capital, jihadist management, and indigenous knowledge rather than physical equipment alone.
"Those who believed that targeting strategic defense centers would halt the defense industry of the Islamic Republic of Iran are today facing a completely different reality," Ebn-ol-Reza said, asserting that production lines are more active than before, technologies are more advanced, and the resolve of Iranian scientists has strengthened.
The official highlighted air-based and sea-based capabilities as top strategic priorities for the Ministry of Defense, stating that modern battlefields require the smart combination of aerial, naval, ground, space, and electronic warfare technologies to give commanders diverse operational options and maintain the initiative.
Pointing to global developments in aviation technology and unmanned systems, Ebn-ol-Reza argued that a significant portion of current U.S. drone strategies has been influenced by Iran's experiences and achievements, making it necessary for Iranian defense industries to push beyond existing technological frontiers.
He also called for risk-taking management, bold scientific decision-making, and increased collaboration with universities and knowledge-based companies to drive future innovation.
Commemorating the martyred Leader of the Revolution, Ebn-ol-Reza stated that a major portion of Iran's defense infrastructure was founded through the Leader's strategic foresight, adding that accelerating progress in the defense industry serves as the best response to enemies and a lasting legacy for the nation's future.
