Pakistan's Defense Minister: The Country Is in a State of War
Following today's (Tuesday) deadly explosion in Islamabad, Pakistan's Defense Minister stressed that the country is in a state of war.

Tehran - BORNA - Khawaja Asif, Pakistan's Defense Minister, said that the country is "in a state of war" and that today's (Tuesday) attack should be considered a "wake-up call."

Referring to the fruitless talks with Afghanistan that were hosted by Turkey, he wrote on the X platform: "In these circumstances, it would be futile to place hope on successful negotiations with the rulers of Kabul."

The Pakistani Defense Minister continued with accusations: "The rulers of Kabul can stop terrorism in Pakistan, but dragging this war into Islamabad is a message from Kabul that—thank God—Pakistan has the full power to respond to."

These statements come as Islamabad witnessed a deadly suicide bombing hours earlier. According to Pakistan's Interior Minister, the attack claimed 12 lives and left dozens injured. He did not blame any armed group but added that authorities are "investigating all aspects" of the attack.

The President of Pakistan also condemned the suicide bombing near the Islamabad court.

Asif Ali Zardari, the President of Pakistan, condemned what he described as a "suicide bombing" near the Islamabad District Judicial Complex.

The official account of the President of Pakistan on X stated: "President Asif Ali Zardari strongly condemned the suicide bombing near the Islamabad District Judicial Complex, expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families, prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured, and commended the law enforcement agencies."
