The head of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Interests Section in Egypt said Iran’s victory over the United States and the Israeli regime in the military and political arenas is “clear and undeniable,” stressing that Iran’s nuclear rights and sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz are absolute and non-negotiable red lines.

Tehran - BORNA - Mojtaba Ferdowsipour, head of Iran’s Interests Section in Cairo, made the remarks during a press conference with media representatives on the eve of the 40th-day commemoration of the martyred Leader and after 168 days of crimes committed by the American-Israeli enemy.

Ferdowsipour said Iran had achieved an “undeniable victory” over the United States and the Israeli regime in both the military and political arenas, while also thwarting hybrid warfare and maximum-pressure sanctions.

He also outlined Tehran’s positions on the country’s nuclear rights, the Strait of Hormuz, relations with neighboring countries and the role of BRICS.

“The decisive victory of the Islamic Republic over the United States and the Israeli regime in the military and political arenas is today clear and undeniable to everyone,” Ferdowsipour said.

He said the achievement was the result of decades of resistance, self-reliance and prudent leadership, adding that Iran’s missile and drone deterrence capabilities had disrupted the enemy’s calculations in the military arena, while active diplomacy had neutralized maximum-pressure policies and broken the imposed isolation of the country.

Referring to wars and proxy conflicts imposed by the United States and the Zionists through terrorism, economic blockade and psychological warfare, Ferdowsipour said, “The Iranian nation, through its historic patience and iron will, has foiled all complex plots and demonstrated that every war will only strengthen national solidarity and resilience.”

He strongly condemned the assassination of the martyred Leader, Imam Khamenei, saying the attack had not weakened the nation’s resolve but had instead strengthened its determination to continue the path of the martyrs.

Ferdowsipour also recalled the tragedy at the Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Minab, where 168 students were killed, criticizing the silence of international institutions over the incident and saying it reflected double standards in the application of human rights principles.

The Iranian diplomat stressed that Iran’s nuclear rights and full sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz were “absolute and non-negotiable red lines.”

He said the Islamic Republic would rely on its indigenous nuclear technology and defined rules for ensuring the security of the strategic waterway, and would respond decisively to any threat.

Ferdowsipour described peaceful engagement and cooperation with all countries, particularly Iran’s neighbors, as a principled policy of Tehran.

“Regional stability depends on collective engagement, and Iran welcomes any initiative aimed at expanding regional cooperation,” he said.

Turning to bilateral relations with Egypt, Ferdowsipour highlighted the numerous commonalities between Tehran and Cairo and said Egypt could play an important role in resolving regional crises through rationality and constructive dialogue.

During the press conference, he also described Iran’s membership in BRICS as an important step toward greater coordination with emerging powers and support for a multipolar international order.

Ferdowsipour expressed hope that BRICS would serve as an alternative to unilateralism and US hegemony.

He concluded by thanking media representatives for their efforts to reflect realities and developments, while emphasizing the continuation of the path of resistance and future victories.
