Maj. Gen. Abdollahi stresses need to intercept threats at farthest possible range

"Dear Brother, Brig. Gen. Alireza Elahi, Commander of the Army's Air Defense Force,

Peace be upon you.

Sept. 1 [10 Shahrivar] recalls those who, with lofty vision and great resolve, turned our homeland's boundless skies into a bastion of security and dignity. This day, dedicated to Air Defense, reflects the courage, expertise and steadfastness of the men who, trusting in God and under the Supreme Leadership of the Guardian Jurist and Commander-in-Chief, safeguard the Islamic Republic of Iran's skies.

I offer my sincere congratulations on this proud occasion to you and to all the courageous, skilled and loyal personnel of the Air Defense Force, and I stress that the key expectations set out in the decree appointing you by the martyred Commander-in-Chief remain a clear guide for the transformation and advancement of this strategic force — particularly at this critical juncture, as Iran faces a third imposed war by the United States and Israel. The country's air defense capabilities depend, without doubt, on the precise implementation of those directives, as well as the expectations of his rightful successor, the Supreme Leader and Commander-in-Chief, Ayatollah Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei — with a focus on offensive defense strategies, integrated and dynamic proactive networking, and linking all layers of reconnaissance, radar and missile systems into a single intelligent, resilient network capable of detecting and neutralizing any potential threat at the farthest possible range, along with localizing and modernizing systems through new technology and the use of dedicated electronic and cyber warfare systems.

Reliance on domestic capability and talented young personnel is essential to strengthening the force's electronic and cyber warfare capabilities in order to sustain active deterrence against growing threats from Iran's enemies, and to improving combat readiness and training personnel to the standards of the Islamic Revolution, through careful planning and the development of insightful, dedicated commanders and personnel familiar with modern defense techniques — ultimately in coordination and synergy with the rest of the armed forces, in line with the Armed Forces General Staff's broader strategy of ensuring a timely, revolutionary and effective response to any level or type of conventional, emerging, cognitive or hybrid military threat against the Islamic Republic, in coordination with the Khatam al-Anbia Air Defense Headquarters.

Honoring the memory of the Air Defense Force's martyrs, I pray for your continued success and that of all the force's dedicated personnel on this strategic path."
