Iran Rejects Reports of Talks with US, Reaffirms Unchanged Positions
Tehran - BORNA - Esmail Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, in response to a question about the U.S. stepping back from its threatening stance against Iran’s vital infrastructure, said that in recent days, messages had been conveyed through some friendly countries indicating Washington’s request for negotiations to end the war.
He added that these messages were responded to appropriately and in line with Iran’s principled positions. In these responses, necessary warnings were issued regarding the severe consequences of any aggression against Iran’s vital infrastructure, and it was emphasized that any action targeting Iran’s energy infrastructure would be met with a decisive, immediate, and effective response by Iran’s armed forces.
The Foreign Ministry spokesperson also rejected any negotiations or talks with the United States over the past 24 days of the imposed war, reiterating that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s stance on the Strait of Hormuz and the conditions for ending the imposed war has not changed.
