Iran pursues sustainable peace while keeping ‘hand on the trigger’: Gov’t Spox
The spokesperson for the Iranian government emphasized that while Tehran’s fundamental approach is centered on establishing sustainable peace, the country remains in a state of high military readiness as it monitors diplomatic developments.

Tehran - BORNA - Fatemeh Mohajerani stated during her weekly press briefing on Tuesday: "Our homeland has been invaded many times throughout history, but each time, Iran has risen like a phoenix. This time as well, we are powerful and stand as a superpower; we will rebuild every damage."

Referring to the recent 40-day conflict, Mohajerani underscored the nation's resilience and defensive posture. "We have fought for 40 days and we still have our 'hands on the trigger,' waiting for the finalization of the negotiation environment," she said.

The government spokesperson further clarified Tehran’s diplomatic doctrine, stating: "Our primary outlook is based on sustainable peace. As mandated by the Leader, we pursue diplomacy based on the principles of 'Honor, Wisdom, and Expediency' (Ezzat, Hikmat, and Maslahat)."

She assured the public that despite the current tensions, the atmosphere within Iran remains focused on "reconstruction, development, and confidence."

Addressing the temporary restrictions on internet services, Mohajerani noted that the current situation is a temporary measure. "Once the shadow of war moves away from the country, conditions will return to normal," she added.

Regarding the nation's economic and strategic resources, the spokesperson noted that the government has developed various scenarios for utilizing blocked assets once they are released.

"The exact amount of resources in the Central Bank is among the figures that will not be disclosed. However, essential resources are being carefully monitored, and there are no shortages," Mohajerani stated. She concluded that while detailed plans have been made for the country's economic stability, "the specifics of these scenarios cannot be detailed under the current wartime conditions."
