Iran's Deputy FM Khatibzadeh and Belarus Foreign Minister Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations
Tehran - BORNA - Maxim Ryzhenkov, the Foreign Minister of Belarus, hosted Saeed Khatibzadeh, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister and Head of the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, today (Wednesday).
Khatibzadeh is visiting Belarus to participate in the 3rd International Eurasian Security Conference in Minsk.
The Belarusian News Agency (BelTA) reported that the officials of the two countries exchanged views on the current state of Belarus-Iran cooperation. While underscoring their mutual commitment to expanding bilateral relations, they emphasized the importance of the need to further increase political, trade, and economic communication.
Both sides stressed the constructive nature of their interaction in the international arena and expressed mutual interest in facilitating exchanges between their respective foreign policy think tanks.
Saeed Khatibzadeh highlighted the importance of dialogue forums, such as the Eurasian Security Conference, within the context of the current geopolitical disorder. The diplomats also emphasized the convergence of the positions of Minsk and Tehran on key aspects of the Eurasian multilateral agenda.
