Poland: US Promises Military Action Against Russia in Security Guarantees
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has revealed that for the first time, United States negotiators have pledged that Washington will take military action against Russia if Moscow violates a potential ceasefire agreement with Ukraine.

Tehran - BORNA - According to reports, Tusk stated that during recent high-level discussions, he heard directly from American negotiators that Washington’s involvement in security guarantees for Ukraine would be structured in a way that leaves no doubt for the Russians. "If they attack Ukraine again after violating the ceasefire, they will face a military response from the United States," Tusk emphasized.

The Polish Prime Minister’s remarks followed the Berlin peace talks, which were attended by representatives from the United States, Ukraine, and several European nations. In a joint statement issued on Monday, European leaders announced their agreement to work alongside Washington and Kyiv to achieve a sustainable peace that preserves Ukrainian sovereignty and European security, citing a "strong convergence" between the three parties.

Tusk described the current situation as a breakthrough, though not a guaranteed success. He noted that for the first time, it was clearly visible that the Americans, Europeans, and Ukrainians were standing on the same side. He argued that the only way to persuade Moscow to engage in serious ceasefire negotiations is through a united Western front.

Regarding the security of the region, Tusk highlighted that a Ukraine facing the threat of renewed aggression poses a significant risk to Poland and other frontline states. He added that while Americans expressed confidence in their ability to establish robust security guarantees, they cautioned that there is still a long road ahead.

Addressing Poland's specific role, Tusk clarified that Polish forces would not participate in any potential peacekeeping mission inside Ukraine. Instead, Poland will support a "coalition of the willing." He explained that this decision is not due to a lack of resolve but because Poland’s primary responsibility is to secure the NATO eastern flank.

The Prime Minister concluded by affirming that Poland would not pressure Ukraine into making territorial or political concessions. He emphasized that any such decisions must be based solely on Ukraine’s own calculations and assessments of what is possible and acceptable for its future.
