Iranian-British Expert: Strait of Hormuz is Only Closed to Supporters of the 'Illegal War'
An Iranian-British expert stated that the Strait of Hormuz is only closed to supporters of the "illegal war," and that the U.S. and Israel have committed war crimes by attacking 600 schools and 30 universities in Iran.

Tehran - BORNA - Sanam Naraghi-Anderlini, an Iranian-British author and expert, stated in an interview with Britain's Channel 4 that the Strait of Hormuz is only closed to countries that support "illegal war" and "war crimes," while ships from countries such as Japan, China, and Spain can still transit.

Anderlini, the founder and CEO of the International Civil Society Action Network (ICAN), which works with women peace activists in conflict zones, said that the U.S. and Israel, in their war against Iran, have attacked 30 universities, 600 schools, and petrochemical facilities, and all these actions are war crimes.

In the next part of her remarks, she added: "The Strait of Hormuz is actually open to countries that are not part of the war."

These statements come as the Strait of Hormuz has been closed to ships linked to the U.S., Israel, and countries supporting the aggression since the start of the war in Iran on February 28.

Iranian officials have repeatedly accused the U.S. and Israel of committing war crimes and have called for the establishment of an international tribunal. In this regard, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a letter to the UN Secretary-General, providing documentation of the attacks on schools and universities. However, the Security Council has been unable to issue a resolution against these attacks due to the potential veto by the U.S. and its allies. The United Nations, however, has called for independent and transparent investigations.
