Gharibabadi: Iran Presents Peace Initiative to Pakistan to End Imposed War
Tehran - BORNA - Kazem Gharibabadi, the Deputy Minister for Legal and International Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met on Saturday, May 2, with several foreign ambassadors residing in Tehran. During the meeting, he briefed them on the Islamic Republic of Iran's recent proposal regarding the end of the war and the aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran.
In this meeting, Gharibabadi emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran is fully and decisively prepared to repel any aggression against the country and its people. He stated that Iran has always believed in diplomacy based on interests to resolve existing issues and has played its part.
The Deputy Foreign Minister stated: "The Islamic Republic of Iran has presented its plan with the aim of permanently ending the imposed war to Pakistan as a mediator, and now the ball is in the U.S. court to choose the path of diplomacy or the continuation of a confrontation-based approach."
Gharibabadi emphasized: "With the goal of securing its national interests and security, the Islamic Republic of Iran is prepared for both paths. In any case, it will always maintain its pessimism and distrust toward the United States and the sincerity of that country in the path of diplomacy."
Prior to this meeting, the ambassadors of China and Russia also held a trilateral meeting with the Deputy Minister for Legal and International Affairs.
