Pakistan rejects Trump’s normalization push with Zionist regime
While US President Donald Trump insists that six Muslim-majority nations, including Pakistan, must join the normalization process with the Zionist regime, Pakistan’s Defense Minister has explicitly rejected the proposal to establish ties with Tel Aviv.

Tehran - BORNA - Pakistani media outlets reported that a day after Donald Trump urged Islamabad to join the Abraham Accords, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif stated that Islamabad will not support any agreement that contradicts the country’s "fundamental ideologies."

In an interview with Pakistan’s Samaa TV, Asif was questioned regarding the possibility of Pakistan joining the Abraham Accords following reported pressure from Donald Trump, a prospect he clearly ruled out.

"Personally, I do not think we should join any pact that conflicts with our fundamental ideologies," Asif told the Pakistani broadcaster.

Questioning the credibility of any engagement with the Zionist regime, the Pakistani Defense Minister added: "How can you engage with those whose words cannot be trusted for even a single day?"

He also reiterated Islamabad's long-standing position on the matter, stating: "We maintain a very clear stance that this is entirely unacceptable to us."

Asif further pointed to Pakistan's passport policy regarding the Zionist regime, emphasizing the country's refusal to recognize its cabinet. "Secondly, we are the only country whose passports explicitly state that they are not valid for Israel," he noted.

Previously, Donald Trump, while noting that negotiations with Iran "are going very well," insisted that six Muslim-majority nations must join the Abraham Accords. This would require signing normalization agreements with the Zionist regime prior to the finalization of any war-termination agreement between the United States and Iran.

Trump stated that the expansion of these accords "must begin with the immediate signing by Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and all others must follow." He added that during discussions with leaders of Muslim and Arab nations, he told them that "after all the work the United States has done to put this highly complex puzzle together, it must be mandatory for all these countries, at the very least, to simultaneously sign the Abraham Accords."
