Iran’s UN Mission: US Seeks Surrender, Not a Real Agreement
Iran’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York has criticized Washington’s contradictory approach to diplomacy, stating that the U.S. cannot speak of negotiations while issuing ultimatums and demanding "zero enrichment."

Tehran - BORNA - In a message posted on its X account on Wednesday, the Iranian Mission reacted to the speech delivered by the U.S. representative during Tuesday's UN Security Council session on Iran. The Mission noted that it is "telling" to hear speeches about "diplomacy" from a country that openly acknowledges its leadership role in "enabling and coordinating the Israeli regime's war against Iran."

The Mission further clarified that the U.S. framework for interaction lacks the basic principles of diplomacy. "Zero enrichment, ultimatums, and coercion wrapped in diplomatic vocabulary do not constitute a negotiation; they merely confirm that the goal is surrender, not an agreement," the statement read.

Highlighting the fundamental difference in the two countries' approaches, the Iranian Mission emphasized that Tehran’s position remains firmly rooted in the "rule of law," rather than the "rule of power."
