Israeli–US Airstrikes Hit Iran’s Steel Infrastructure
In a series of coordinated attacks reported by Iranian provincial officials, Israeli and U.S. airstrikes targeted key steel production facilities in central and southwestern Isfahan and Khuzestan Province, marking a significant escalation in strikes against Iran’s industrial infrastructure.

Tehran - BORNA - According to statements from local security and administrative authorities, the Foolad Mobarakeh Steel Company in Isfahan was struck by what officials described as “hostile and aggressive” action.

Akbar Salehi, a deputy for security and law enforcement affairs in the province, confirmed that the facility sustained damage following the attack. Initial assessments indicated that at least one electrical substation and parts of the alloy steel production line were among the targeted components, though full damage evaluations are still ongoing.

Separately, in southwestern Iran, officials in Khuzestan Province reported an aerial strike on the Foolad Khuzestan Company.

According to local authorities, the attack occurred in the afternoon. The strike reportedly hit warehouse hangars within the facility. Authorities emphasized that no casualties or injuries were recorded in the Khuzestan incident.

Tehran has previously declared that strikes targeting non-military infrastructure—particularly economic and industrial sites—would not be tolerated and would prompt retaliatory measures. Officials have consistently described these facilities as integral to national economic stability and civilian livelihood.

While investigations into the full extent of the damage are still underway, preliminary reports suggest localized disruption to production capacity at the affected steel complexes. Further details are expected to be released as assessments continue.
