Araghchi: Safe Passage in Strait of Hormuz Possible for Two Weeks in Coordination with Iran
Iran’s Foreign Minister stated that safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz will be feasible for a two-week period, strictly in coordination with the Iranian Armed Forces and taking into account existing technical limitations.

Tehran - BORNA - Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, referring to a two-week ceasefire agreement between Iran and the U.S. for consultations to end the conflict, wrote on his X account: "I express my gratitude and appreciation to my dear brother, Honorable Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan, and Honorable Field Marshal Asim Munir, Commander of the Pakistan Army, for their tireless efforts to end the war in the region."

He added: "In response to the brotherly request of the Prime Minister of Pakistan as stated in his post, and given the U.S. request for negotiations based on its 15-point proposal, as well as the U.S. President’s announcement accepting the generalities of Iran's 10-point proposal as a basis for negotiation, I hereby declare on behalf of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran:

1- Should the attacks against the Islamic Republic of Iran cease, our powerful Armed Forces will also halt their defensive strikes.

2- For a period of two weeks, safe passage in the Strait of Hormuz will be possible in coordination with the Iranian Armed Forces, while considering the existing technical constraints."
