277 Students Martyred in U.S.-Israeli Aggression Against Iran
Tehran - BORNA - Hossein Sadeghi detailed the human toll of the conflict on Iran's educational community. Among the 277 martyred students, 157 were boys and 113 were girls, while 7 casualties were preschoolers (5 boys and 2 girls).
The attacks also claimed the lives of 67 educational staff members, including 13 male and 45 female educators, as well as 9 retirees (6 men and 3 women). Furthermore, the ministry official reported that 178 students and 25 educators sustained various injuries during the strikes.
Damage to Educational Infrastructure
Beyond the human loss, Sadeghi highlighted the extensive destruction of educational and cultural facilities. According to the report, 857 educational spaces were damaged across the country.
The structural toll also includes damage to 55 administrative buildings, 16 cultural centers, 32 sports halls, and 8 student camps. This systematic targeting of educational environments has sparked widespread condemnation, with Iranian officials describing the strikes on schools—including the tragic incident in Minab—as clear instances of war crimes against the younger generation.
