Aref: Deal Possible if Washington Prioritizes ‘America First’ Over Israel
Iran’s First Vice President, Mohammad Reza Aref, has stated that reaching a diplomatic agreement in Islamabad is possible only if the U.S. delegation prioritizes American interests rather than those of the Zionist regime.

Tehran - BORNA - Aref shared a post in English on his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday, outlining Tehran’s perspective on the ongoing high-level negotiations in Pakistan.

"If we negotiate in Islamabad with 'America First' representatives, reaching an agreement that benefits the world is probable," Aref wrote. He cautioned, however, that a different approach from Washington would lead to a deadlock.

"But if we face 'Israel First' representatives, no agreement will be achieved; we will inevitably continue our defense even more intensely than in the past, and the world will face greater costs," the Vice President added.

Aref’s remarks reflect a broader strategic sentiment in Tehran, which suggests that the U.S. administration must decouple its regional policy from the expansionist goals of the Zionist regime to ensure the success of the current peace process. The statement comes as senior officials from both nations, led by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and J.D. Vance, are present in Islamabad for the first diplomatic encounter following the 40-day conflict.
