Naim Qassem: Direct Negotiations and Their Results Hold No Importance for Us
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah in Lebanon emphasized that the enemy has reached a dead end and that the resistance remains steadfast and strong.

Tehran - BORNA - Naim Qassem, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, stated: "The enemy has reached a dead end, and the resistance is enduring and powerful; it cannot be defeated."

As reported by Al-Mayadeen, Sheikh Naim Qassem categorically opposed any form of direct negotiations, adding: "Officials must realize that their actions are not in the interest of Lebanon or themselves."

Sheikh Qassem stated: "The current government cannot continue while it neglects Lebanon's rights and surrenders its land. The government must return to its people and become a true popular government. It is the responsibility of the current government to halt direct negotiations with the Israeli enemy and return to indirect negotiations. The weapons of the resistance are for repelling aggression and defending our existence, and we will not relinquish our arms or our right to self-defense."

The Hezbollah Secretary-General declared: "No one but Lebanon itself will negotiate the conditions for reaching a solution. Has the government decided to cooperate with the Israeli enemy against its own people? Direct negotiations and their results hold no importance for us. We will remain united alongside the Amal Movement, national groups, and figures from all communities and sects, and we will not betray the blood of the martyrs."

Naim Qassem added: "Do not ask about our capabilities; they are not measured by months or years, but are built upon the triad of faith, will, and capability. Record this for history: the Israeli enemy will not remain on a single inch of our occupied land, and our people will return to their territories, down to the last inch of our borders. Just as we resisted together, we will rebuild together."

Sheikh Naim Qassem emphasized: "The solution lies in stopping the aggression, Israel's withdrawal from occupied lands, the release of prisoners, the return of displaced residents, and reconstruction. Officials must revoke their March 2nd decision—which criminalizes the resistance and its supporters—so they can pursue internal dialogue that prioritizes Lebanon's interests above all else. The approach toward a solution begins with understanding that the problem is the aggression, and the resistance is a reaction to that aggression, not its cause."

He stated: "If it were not for the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Pakistan negotiations, a ceasefire would not have been possible following the legendary steadfastness of the resistance and its people. We will not return to the situation as it was before March 2nd. We will respond to and confront Israeli aggression. No matter how much the enemy threatens, we will not retreat, we will not bow down, and we will not be defeated."

Naim Qassem concluded: "We will stand alongside all honorable people—with the Amal Movement, national political groups, and figures from all regions and groups. We welcome all those who assist Lebanon and support its liberation and reconstruction, but we do not welcome anyone who serves the enemy's demands and undermines Lebanon's strength."
